Car owners are bound to encounter problems related to headlights at some point of time. And, in most cases it should be replaced in order to fix the problem. One can get baffled and wonder how do I change the Headlight on a 2003 Cadillac DTS; so, here’s some help.

Procedure to Change Headlights on 2003 Cadillac DTS

Initially, you need to open the cover and select one side to begin. Clip pins are located on the air deflector grille, and you should not have a lot of problem locating them. Press on the pins until they loosen out.

Now, move beneath the front portion of your DTS, and try to locate the clips on the air deflector. The clips are located rear to the air deflector; just undo the clips.

Separate the pins from the front outlook of the vehicle and move to the headlight changing side. Take away the bolt associated with front fascia with the help of a wrench.

Now, take out the front fascia by descending frontward. Using a socket wrench, you need to take off the headlight. Drag the assembly forward after removing the bolts, and remove all the electrical connections from the rear of the headlight.

Connecting the New Headlights

Connect all the electrical connections to a new headlight and re-assemble the ball stud until you are able to hear a shattering sound. Bolts have to be re-turned to fix the fascia back into place.

The deflector grille and pins can now be snapped back into their respective positions. Now, you need to turn the headlights on, and operate them for sometime in order to ensure that you’ve got everything right.

Once you feel, you’ve done a good job, you need to repeat the same procedure for the other side as well.
